About Quenaria Car Hire

Who we are

Quenaria is a small self-drive hire company based in Salford, Greater Manchester. We are not a franchise and not a branch of anything larger — the whole operation is two people, an arrangement with an independent garage nearby, and a deliberately short fleet built around a single car: the Moskvich 5 compact crossover.

If you are in Ordsall, Pendleton, Eccles, Swinton or out at the Quays, you are inside our free delivery zone and you are speaking to someone who knows the roads you are about to drive on.

Why Moskvich, of all things

Because nobody else locally was doing it, and because the car turned out better than the badge suggested. When we were deciding what to build a fleet around, the obvious answer was another grey hatchback that four firms within a mile already rent out. The Moskvich 5 gave us something distinct to offer, and after living with one we were satisfied it could take hire-car life: a mainstream crossover underneath, automatic, and simple enough that nothing exotic goes wrong.

How we work

• One car, serviced on schedule rather than on failure
• Valeted between every hire, not only when it looks like it needs it
• The quoted price is the price — no excess cover sprung on you at the keys
• A real number answered by a person during working hours
• We say no when we are booked instead of taking the money and hoping

We are not going to claim thousands of happy customers or invent a rating. We are a small operation doing this in the same way it has always been done here, and we would rather be judged on the handover than on a number.
